Binging on Binging

Binging on Binging

If you haven't been introduced to the dreamiest channel on Youtube yet, let me be the first to tell you about your new obsession. In Andrew Rea's series "Binging with Babish," famous dishes from movies and TV are recreated with a dash of humor. He's whipped up everything from Kevin's chili in The Office to Remy's restaurant saving dish from Ratatouille. Once you start watching the recreations, you won't be able to stop. And while he hasn't fulfilled my dream of crafting an above sea level Krabby Patty, I'm still hooked.

Buzzfeed and other outlets have recently published articles about Binging with Babish, and it seems to have boosted his following. In the last 30 days, he has gained around 330,000 new subscribers (a 365% increase). He's also amassed over 14 million views in the last month, and his Buzzfeed article has been branded a Top Post with almost a million views. The success of Binging with Babish just goes to show the power of a great idea (and the power of Buzzfeed).
